Etienne Diaz

A distinguished artist with a remarkable career, Etienne began his training at the Orlando Ballet School as the recipient of the prestigious Founders’ Scholarship Award. He later attended Florida State University on a full scholarship, refining his technical prowess and artistic expression. Etienne has danced with renowned companies such as Teatrul de Balet Sibiu, Balletto del Sud in Italy, Milwaukee Ballet, and the National Opera of Bucharest, performing numerous leading roles across Europe and the U.S.

In 2014, Etienne joined Philadelphia Ballet under the direction of Angel Corella, where he quickly rose to demi-soloist, dancing principal roles and world premieres. His career has brought him into collaboration with some of the most celebrated choreographers and dancers in the ballet world, including Fernando Bujones, Bruce Marks, Michael Pink, Alexei Ratmansky, Jerome Robbins, Christopher Wheeldon, and William Forsythe, to name a few.

Beyond his performing career, Etienne has pursued studies in business administration at Temple University, graduating with honors, and has shared his expertise as a faculty member at Bryn Mawr College and as Associate Director of The Metropolitan Ballet for eight years. He has also served as a judge and master class instructor at prestigious international ballet competitions, including the Hong Kong International Ballet Competition and the World Ballet Competition.
